Hi PD's...........many years ago, we travelled to Mannum & viewed the build of multi/mega story & $ flat bottomed vessels under construction....some appeared to have twin MERcrusier Z drives ....some sponsons for conventional outboard drives
This build by Victor appears to be of beautiful
...& I do like the use of our OZ Custom Mini-Orb painted steel sheeting
Looking forward to view the continued build here on PD's Victor.......could I ask what type of drive do you have planned?
Derek

Hi Derek ,
I plan on using a 50 HP four stroke ( high thrust ) Yamaha ( or Honda ) outboard .
The high thrust motors are geared down and propped to push harder.

Plumbing fixtures are kept to a minimum.
Braided Flexi - Tails connect the mixer taps of the basin and shower.
The water lines are JG ( John Guest ) push on RV water lines and fittings.

The little riverboat is getting plumbing.
These John Guest push on fittings make connecting the plumbing a snap.
Lighter, faster, and cheaper than copper.
John Guest plumbing : So simple it`s ridiculous.

I used some old recycled louvered doors to make a circular vent for the door.
What I really like about these doors is that they were made by a real cabinet maker , old school fashion.
I was not able to clearly photograph them , but there are actually very faint pencil marks all over these doors marking the location of the rails and stiles ,
and the marking out of the mortises and tenons , and hinges. These were not made by an automated CNC machine.

The tiles for the river boat bathroom have been selected .
We chose a peel and stick vinyl tile for ease of laying , and substantial weight saving over a ceramic tile.
This is what they will look like :
The vanity doors still need to be planed down at little to make them fit correctly.
They are propped up temporarily to take this picture.
Endless little jobs .......

Hardwood door sill is fitted , the door jambs and stops are in place , door hinges fitted , and door was trial hung for fit.
Painting the bathroom door.

I had to look twice to compare this boat with the external view of Victor's boat at the start of the thread. Similar, but not the same.
