Hello everyone .
It`s been sometime since I have visited , and i had forgotten how good this forum really is !
Regardless , I have started my river boat build .Sadly not a paddler .Many reasons for that.
Not sure where to post this , or if anyone would even be interested .
Here are some pictures , and a build gallery .

Moderators help is needed , If not appropriate to post this please delete , or , could you advise where to put this ?

That looks really nice - How long has it taken to get to that stage?
Please feel free to keep posting in this area, I'm sure there will be lots of members who will be interested in your progress...
Regards
Eddy

Hello Mr Matthews , and thank you for the kind words.
I am building this humble craft entirely by myself , and work on it whenever I can , so it has been a relatively slow build .
The project was started in September 2013.
I am presently working on insulating and lining the interior , and a relatively basic fit out.
This is some of the seating. It is hinged to allow access to storage , and the hatches in the floor that give access to the Floats.
Framing and fitting out the bathroom has started

What location for what rivers? I am on the grass on a trailer for Goolwa next week. The organisers really want part-finished wooden for the grass display, and this would suit well. Send a hasty email, and you could well be in at last minute. Hunt on Goolwa Wooden Boat Festival for an address.

Hi Roderick .
The boat is located near Mannum.
This boat is 40 ft ( 12metres) in length , and 12 ft ( 3.6 metres ) wide.
7.1 short ton (6500 kg ) displacement.
It would quite difficult logistically to organize a crane and low loader at short notice .
Quite expensive to transport I`m afraid.

Roderick, why not present a board with Victor's photos instead of the prototype?

Hi Gerhard ,
Thanks for the kind words.
The bathroom lining is now in place , and the next job is trimming out the windows .

Hi Gerald.
Waste water will be contained in a long cylindrical tank strapped under the bridge deck .
It consists of a 12 inch diameter ( 300 mm ) thick walled sewer pipe fitted with end caps.
Capacity is over 700 liters , so will be placed along the center line of the boat to prevent the substantial weight from listing the boat.

I am painting the windows and working on the bathroom vanity unit.
I have a collection of old ( salvaged ) western red cedar louvered doors.
I am cutting these down to the required height to make the doors for the vanity unit.
Some of them look a little sad and dirty , but after some careful sanding and a new coat of paint they look quite respectable I think .
These still need to trimmed to final size , but I propped them on blocks so you could see how they will look after being fitted.
