    Thanks for that piece of information. I can remember I used to travel through to Maxwell Park in Glasgow as the steamer club used to meet there.  At that time I think most people  had radio control with up to 9 channels. Old fashioned compared to todays equipment.

Found another photo as I am in tidy up mode.  This was taken in November 1975 when the Scottish Tourist Board borrowed my model for a conference. Viewing the model in the photo is the former Lord Provost of Glasgow, Sir William Gray and the Chaiman of the STB Mr Robin MacLellan.  33 years ago - time marches on.

I'm sure I have a picture of your Waverley in an old (70's) edition of Paddle Wheels magazine, I will have a rake around and see if I can find it. I meant to ask you, after looking at your Caledonia photo, can you remember what paint you used for the "monastral blue" hull colour, if it was a Humbrol or other make, or did you mix it yourself?

       The shade of blue which I used for the Caledonia hull was from the authentic colours supplied by Precision Paints.  It is BR blue 1966 to 1985 and is available as an enamel either matt, satin of gloss for brush application.  Can also be supplied in aerosol tins 150ml

Thanks for the info on the BR blue, I will check out the website. I fancy doing a Waverley in that livery, I havnt seen one before. Also Sandys model of the Talisman looks great in those colours.
