Thanks Derek,
I do plan to start sailing again it just struck me a few days ago that besides the weeds I'm worried about falling in the during launch and retrieve process I can't even pic up the dogs waste without leaning against something.

I bought one of these trolleys on ebay and will modify it lo launch models and if I have to I'll also extend the handle.
It folds flat and will hang on the back of my mobility scooter.

Hi Derek,

your model looks very good! Did you already made a water test? If yes, what`s about stability?

No not yet Thomas but I did give her an extra 12mm depth of draught.
It wouldn't dare have anymore problems it knows I'll take a hammer to it  :hammer :hammer :hammer :hammer

Got a video of the piston slide in action.

https://youtu.be/n0nfTjZX2k0

and the drive end.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPDewqEdZoo

Took a dremel with a 50mm saw blade followed by 10mm sanding wheel and removed excess deck and bulkhead material inside work area to make room for R/c gear and batteries.

Thomas, I got the test tank out and found it hadn't weathered the extremes of weather well and the fibreglass had delaminated all around the top edges, I finished repairs the" I thought " filled it with water and it still leaks like a sieve where I added extra width for paddle boxes more work needed, however I got 4 pics of Josie, with the motor mounted port side of centre she leans considerably to port as the pics show.
This will be addressed by battery, Rx & speed controller placement.

Looks good, Damian. Relative to nautic stability - from my experiences with paddlers three situations of nautic stability are possible when the model is sailing:
1. It`s quite as stabil like it is only floating - the ideal state.
2. There is a tendence of list, when it`s sailing fast (long and narrow hull, no toplast - tendence of my "Courier")
3. A tendence of list, when the model sails slow but sufficient stability when it sails fast (toplast through heavy superstructure - tendence of Mount Washington)
If the hulls breadth is enougt, then it should reach point 1.

Ok course Damien....as Thomas suggests

You still have the top weight of the paddles, so trial again at home with the battery/s laid on the sides and as low as possible

The vessel looks very good ......and on water with the motion of the engine drive will add to the sloshing of water  :great

The 12 x 6000mAH Nicads should arrive from Hong Kong this week as should 2 x 1kg cans of polyester resin from Cardiff NSW.
Just finished helping Jo ( The love of my life ) mow the tiny bit of lawn we have and wiped me out for the day pooter & movies for next 12hrs.
