The talc in the primer worked well and being a very warm 26c day I had to keep adding thinners as it was drying on the applicator brush.
I went out after dinner and sanded it smooth.
29c tomorrow I will finish the primer and re-mask the rear deck.
While waiting for the primer to dry I started looking at the wheel cover positioning and found I should have cut cut the outer pair across the grain as the first pair with the grain wouldn't bend sufficiently, so used the originals as a pattern for the new ones.
30c tuesday with a bit of luck I will start the hull painting.

Thanks Thomas, The heat has arrived unusually early unfortunately they're forecasting an unusually wet summer this combination will be bad for sinuses and allergies with lots of mould around.

Nothing more than a cursory glance Derek, want to finish Josie first don't have room for two at a time.
Got the masking done used the blue tape for the first time had it for quite some time & never remembered it was in the drawer lol
Outstanding for curves wish I'd used it when I bought it.

A bit more filler was needed had dinner and went back out did the final sanding followed by more primer and tomorrow I'll make a means of marking the water line when done I'll sand with with 600grit paper followed by a tack rag, and she'll be ready for paint.
Pic's of today's efforts.

Got the bottom masked off ready for paint unfortunately rain is forecast for the next week with temp's in the mid 20's C and humidity 70% to 90% I won't risk paint bloom.
Mixed the red/dark brown enamel for the bottom and when cleaning up discovered I'd thinned it with acetone not general purpose thinners
and had to throw away 2 airbrush bottles full 1/2hour wasted.

Have both colours mixed and in airbrush bottles.
Darn bother drat it's annoying the faults that show up whilst dry rubbing with 600 wet & dry paper lots more filling needed talc added to grey primer will alleviate spraying primer again.
No pic's when i took pic's they showed more faults than I'd noticed.
Gave up for today feeling off my other half is just over a few off days looks like she passed it to me.

Massive thunder storm this morning lasted 40mins sun came out every thing was dry an hour later so I got stuck into the superstructure and hull bottom painting, darn even more filling needed, I'll mix the paint with talc for filler so I'll be able to sand it and spray the top coat without re-priming.
