Hi All PD's
if there are no pictures in the posting then the text should always format to the size of your browser horizontally. this is of course dependant on which browser you use. if you internet explorer then most of the early versions are unable to fully read modern web scripts, but do the best they can.
On pictures i personally re-size to 800/600 on websites using an application called faststone available free from
http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm it is also able to watermark your pictures. Why 800/600 for me its because all computer screens will be able to read this size without having to horizontally scroll, it also makes for quicker webpage loads for people with slower connections. I am lucky enough to have a wide screen monitor so do not suffer too badly from this, but am conscious of people using laptops etc with smaller screens.
If a large picture is anythere on a posting visible on the page you are viewing then this will create the need for horizontal scrolling and the text will follow suit.
I hope this explanation helps with some of the horizontal scrolling that some users have.
