Creating a user gallery
« on: January 05, 2012, 05:14:43 PM »
I'm interested in creating a user gallery for photos I've taken of paddlewheel steamers, and possibly a second for postcards and photos I've collected.  Can I be "walked through" the process.  I keep getting hung up at "select a category."  What is a category, and where is the selection to choose from?  I really need "the idiots guide to creating a gallery," starting at the beginning.

Hi Norman,

Before you can upload photos, you need to create a "Category" to upload to.... Follow the instructions below, it's fairly easy....

#1. Go to the Photo Gallery
#2. Click on "My Gallery" near the top of the screen
#3.  Look for the "Gallery Admin Panel", and click on "Add Category"
#4. Fill in the details of the gallery you wish to create, the only required bit is the "Title"
#5. Click on "Add Gallery" at the bottom of the screen to save, and that's it.

You will then be able to see it listed as a category to upload to when you upload a photo - You can create as many categories as you need, just keep repeating the process....

I hope that helps, but if you need any further guidance just yell.

Regards
Eddy

Eddy,
Many thanks!  That worked fine, as well as the directions for re-sizing pictures.
