Mixer for sidewheeler? or a differential

been tossing this one around in head......might rattle a few
ideas...
How about using a junked rc dirt car's motor and diff...
By applyng rudder controls to a disk style break on each of the
"wheels" independant from each other, the other side of the
differential will speed up to compensate resulting in a turn - how
effective I'm not sure.

Hi Sandy - I posed this same question about six months ago & actually purchased two such
R/C car diff units which I will use with my twin motors

The real difficulity can best be described as a real motor vehicle with the rear end jacked up
& what happens? - one wheel goes in the opposite direction to the other - Derek

Hi there ,
You may also consider the fact that with a vehicle with one
drive wheel off the ground, in most cases there is no power to the
one that is on the ground, so you go no-where fast, mind you this
doesn't apply to 4 wheel drive vehicles..........Dai

I played with that idea for a bit, I talked to some Car nuts near here and
the brakes are all or nothing , I don't thik it would work with the precision we
need.

Hi Brett - have missed your comments over the past months & hope all is OK

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO, yes it has been a little amusing & all started out with the
thought of Decoy steering like a dog & has grown like topsy [lots of black
box's]

I have the R/C gear on charge now & hope to do a trial [dry ] run of the
all
the electrics this weekend - so I'll post a response to all - regards Derek

PS - re-thinking the last sentence - with seven box's multiplied by say five
wires
per box [on average] to connect - it's probably best that I stay DRY until
the test
is complete
