Radio aerials

Hi all of you aerial cutters, DO NOT cut short the aerial in any way to
suit your model,if you coil the dam thing around inside the hull you will
get a reasonable distance but if you run it up the mast VERTICLE you will
get up to 500 yards on 40mh FM. In all my models I try and make provision
for this some where. a small plastic tube set in the mast, as a steam pipe
on a funnel, even in one case up the davits! you can cut the aerial and put
on a gold plated plug but the joint and extension MUST be equal to the
original length supplied by the manufacture.
Also keep the aerial away from electronics and other wires. If anyone is
interested I have hulls for the Austrian Paddler GIESELA. about 48" long I
also have drawings and photos. Have built two, one working one static.
