I am buidling a kit of the Bohemia Paddle Steamer (1841) than ran on
The River Elbe.

The kit is manufactured by RCM Pelikan of Chzech Republic.

Has anyone any pictures of this vessel to help with the colour scheme
and detailing.

Thank you.

John

How did you get hold of your Bohemia Paddle Steamer kit? I have been
interested in making a model of a Paddle Steamer similar to the one I
spent a very enjoyable journey down the river Weser in Germany during
the summer of 1951. It seems that your model might be what I am
looking for.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Bob

It was imported by Pelican Models near Bristol, England. The kit is
Chzech in origin, and semi-scale - mostly vacuum formed mouldings.

If you are looking for true scale this kit is not for you.

I have been researching the boat for colour scheme. The only response
I have had is that there was a stamp printed.

There are other boats which may help you in your quest. The engines
from the original Bohemia are in a boat that is currently still
running.

Try searching the internet for keywords Elbe paddle steamer.

There was a stamp issued of her at one time.
The machinery is still in use on the DIESBAR at Dresden
