Hi all, or at least those of you who are local enough to sail on the Clyde, and Hans of course.

I've just met with our redoubtable moderators Eddy :?  and Walter 8) and agreed to sail on Waverley on Sunday 15th October from Greenock to Tighnabruaich and back :D .  We suggest a meet of PDs outside the souvenir shop on board shortly after she leaves Greenock to arrange a time and place for a friendly chat during the cruise over a cuppa, or other suitable beverage .  Anyone out there able to come :?:

Sadly it ties in a little to close to my play...oh and it's a little far away too! I'm trying to get up to Echuca for the Heritage festival at the moment! And that already seems pretty far away! It will be worth it though!

Wish I could be there though, your PD meetings over in merry olde England/UK seem to be exciting. How long does the cruise last if you can meet outside the souvenier booth and then meet again for the cuppa? I suppose as an ocean going vessel though she goes a bit farther than your average 1 hour Murray Cruise!

Our cruise from Greenock lasts just over 6 hours :D all in the relatively sheltered waters of the Clyde estuary. If we were to join at Glasgow we would have nine and a half hours cruising, with some three hours of that in the narrower part of the river with the excitement of canting in a narrow channel and even sometimes with a lady driver 8) ( see the attached photos).  A great day out but probably more expensive than the Murray River shorties :( .
