Hi PD's.....& thanks Channel.......interesting....the De Majesteit  confirms three rudders so I suspect actually x four  :s_cool ....Derek

when I saw this boat in cologne (about 25 years ago) it was moored with 'DS Rudesheim' and I, being unable to see properly from the shore, thought it was a diesel paddler because of the apparent sponson houses but I see now it's not!

WAPPEN VON KÖLM, WAPPEM VON MAINZ, LORELEY and BERLIN have/had sponsons with Voith-Schneider propulsion units underneath them. The first two re still in the fleet, BERLIN was sold to the Netherlands last year and I think LORELEY was scrapped, so this must be the former BERLIN

There were also some similar but smaller vessels operating on the River Weser between Hamaln and Hann. Münden

You have to use the Dutch version to access the full history, techspecs and deckplans.

The photo book is one of those horrible log-in affairs.

That pool seems to be 60% PS Waverley; 19% other UK; 20% Europe, mainly Switzerland.
