Well , I've been after one for years and found this one on eBay.
It looked good.
Got it home, turned it upside down and it all but fell apart, it had been painted before glueing.

I was somewhat miffed I must admit, so started the rebuild after seeing this pic

If I can resize ( or someone can do it for me) you will be able to see it here.
Drive is still single motor with graupner white gears. Twin motors with chain drives might be an option later.
I have replaced all pins in the paddles with 2.5x10mm bolts and nyloc nuts.

Are you going to build it as an armed paddler with a gun etc? It would certainly be different!

I used to have a "Glasgow" many years ago, and it was always a good sailing model - I never found the need for independent motors as it turned pretty well without, and saved a lot of expense and complexity.

Yes Eddie, with a T34/76 turret on the front as per the inspiration picture
As soon as I can get a 'so far' picture to resize I will post it , also welded deck for and aft with an armoured belt riveted over in the centre ( like a BK1124)

Yes the hull isn't deep enough with the scale changed to 1/16 ( I had a spare 1/16 turret laying about from a previous BK1124 build) but on the  water it doesn't look too bad . . . . I'm hoping people will be too busy counting rivets to notice.

It's looking good to me Rob, even though there have been many Graupner Glasgows modified over the years, I've never seen one like this, so it will certainly stand out from the crowd!

I always thought the Glasgow hull could be cut at it's widest point and lengthened fairly easily to give a hull suitable for one of the Rhine paddlers...
