I found this on Tom Lee's website and what might be an interesting little book by Victoria Groom about her Grandfather's extensive collection of paddler memorabilia and published a couple of years ago.  It focuses on "Clacton Belle", one of the classic East Coast Belle steamers.

There's also a photo of noted author Peter Box aboard "Waverley".

Hi there.
This looks a very readable book.
I scoured the website but could not find any address to which one should send ones cheque, I called the telephone number given. I now have the address if anyone wishes to order the book but wants to avoid the cost of a phone call. I will give them the address if they let me know off site.
All the best
David
PS Amazingly part of the post code is 4PJ, so PJ fame at last!!

It is not really a book about paddle steamers, but  about one man's memories of them and his collection of mementoes of  paddlers

Walter Snowdon

This is a very readable book, being more like a novel or a family history.based around Teds love of paddlers starting from childhood at the end of the 19th century to date, covering his connection with paddlers and the enormous collection of memorabilia. Wives and girlfriends will also enjoy it as it has a continuing love story throughout. The author is Teds granddaughter. At the launch of the book, she did a signing on Waverley. Also part of the profits from sales go toward the Medway Queen  project. I am certain that it can still be bought from the Medway Queen and Kingswear Castle shops. Go to their web sites (in Links section) and look up sales or shop. Its far better thatthey earn the money rather than some soul-less book dealer on ebay! Ive read mine twice as has my wife and three of her friends  Cheers, Walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.
