Waverley in trouble again

She now has a bent nose!!! ran into a pier and many passengers taken to hospital due to the sudden halt in her progress. I did try to add a photo but not a success so this time a link to a report instead that does show her broken nose.

Seems to work if copied and pasted to word processor program. It appears 24 people injured. Interesting comment by one person saying Waverley was going too fast, obviously not aware that steering is not the best quality on a paddle steamer unless independent paddles and from what I have read it was customary to approach  a berth at a reasonable speed for steerage way to be maintained then lots of going astern to put the brakes on and stop. I wonder how many models have had the same problem when returning to the bankside.
