I'm a new member sort of. Been here for a month anyway.
I have just uploaded a pix of my first boat, first scratch, only
paddler. It just so happens it is a Dutch design built in 1938
in Portland Oregon called the "Jean". The real boat had a
small problem in that it was shortened by 40 feet and road
with very little free board. Two independent stern wheels
and 4 main and 4 monkey rudders make the model very
maneuverable. The model is 1/30 scale and 68 inches LOA.
Before long Eddy will have the drawings. The first of six
boats it is still my favorite. Not a tug or tow but called a work
boat and could do either. The first paddler on the Columbia
river of steel construction and next to the last paddler built.
