OK Guys.

Well i live  in a rented house and don't have a huge shed to convert or anything. so i am looking at those of you who also don't have a specific workshop.

what do you have as a makeshift bench. at the moment i have a workmate, with a piece of veneered chipboard on. but just curious to other ideas really.

At the moment I am using a couple of old bedroom cabinets with a 6 foot chunk of worktop on top for working on hulls, (although I do have the use of a spare room for this!) or the dining room table for the smaller bits, although sometimes that doesn't go down too well     

I supose it depends what size of models you want to build!

My "Workbench" consists of the living room floor, or the kitchen worktop - But I do have a very understanding wife!

well that makes me feel better that there are others out there making do with what they can. LOL. i need to make something a bit more substatial i think. was think a pair of treasles with a nice lump of worktop if i can get some on top. as wanna be able to use my little bandsaw etc etc.

my model will be about 32" long when i get to start it.

most of the time I'm using a large cardboard box with a piece of chipboard on top, and a piano stool!

MJT thats sounds like proper make shift. LOL. i will have to start making up my make up board
