Gavin's GLEN SANNOX was certainly the one at last year's paddler day so it's likely that he has the hull lines if anyone has.

Hi All,
I have found another pic which i think shows the Lucy Ashton and Fair Maid.

Hi Kim,
Nice pic, I think that shows Lucy Ashton and Fair Maid, but not the NBR steamer sunk during WW1, the "Fair Maid" in the photo is the ex Madge Wildfire/ ex Isle of Skye.
Photo prob taken during WW2 sometime.

Clark

Think this is the paddler with the Lucy Ashton in your pic Kim

Thanks for pointing thatr out Clark, I thought the low bow in my pic was just the poor quality of pic.
Was Fair Maid camera shy?  :)
All the best,
Kim

I  think the lack of photos is due to the fact she was completed during WW1....the trials pic (earlier in this thread) is the only one I have ever seen to date.
Funny to think if she had survived the war, the NBR & then LNER Clyde fleet could have been quite different, maybe Jeanie Deans would not have been built in 1931, or the Waverley in 1947. Possibly smaller paddler(s) would have been built instead....
Looking again at your plan earlier in this thread, I think Fair Maid could have been a classic paddler in my opinion!

Hi Clark,
You might be interested to know I'm just finishing the plug for Fairmaid at the moment.
I found this pic on the PC the other day not sure if it's one of yours or not but a cracking pic of a great model Waverley.

Hi Kim,
Yes thats interesting...im sure she would be a popular choice for paddler fans  :D

Found another grainy pic of Fair Maid, possibly also on the Gareloch

making me homesick with the model steamer picture of Blairmore pier.

try sweethearting Walter Snowdon as I think he has lines of the GLEN SANNOX
