I have, at last made it on to this site. I am Mr Gavin Johnston from Perth Scotland.I have various Clyde Steamer models built with GRP & plastic sheet. Current paddle steamers include Waverley, post 2000, Glen sannox, Duchess of Rothesay & my new build Madge Wildrife. I build 1:48 scale and sail with Dundee model boat club and, when I can manage, I like to sail with the Model Steamer Club in Glasgow. The Highlight of this year was paddlers day at Darlington It was great to see so many paddlers and such nice weather.

Hi Gavin,

Good to see you've joined us, and I'm pleased you enjoyed our Paddler Day in september - That seems like a long time ago now somehow! :)

I hope you find the website useful, and I'm sure you'll soon get to know our regulars and strike up some lasting friendships...

Regards
Eddy

Hi Gavin,
Interesting to see you are building "Madge Wildfire", - have you decided on what livery you are painting her? I'm sure she had a green hull at one point in 1912 when sailing for Captain Cameron.
Would be great to hear about your progress on her build

regards
Clark
