Modelling holidays in Greece!

Hi PDs

My workshop is nearly completed. It is 4 X 3.5 metres and will be equiped with a drill press, lathe, small milling machine, table saw, belt/disc sander, scroll saw, bench grinder, band saw, work benches and of course hand tools.

We live on a beautiful Greek island (Naxos in the Cyclades)- which has no downside EXCEPT getting materials takes forever and has to be sourced via the internet or visiting friends. I have the following offer to make.

If any one, with partner, wants a holiday in Greece for a maximum of 14 days then we can offer FREE accommodation. (luxury room, en suite, air con, swimming pool and 100 metres from an unspoilt 3 km beach) You would be expected to pay for your food and car hire is recommended.

Use of the workshop would be included and if you wanted some help with techniques and construction methods I am a qualified lecturer and instructor.

In exchange for this I would ask that each guest brought some materials from the UK - to a value to be agreed.

If you are interested please let me know.

All the best
Stuart

                  WOW

What a lovely offer. Now if only I can the good lady on to a 'Boat' or on to an 'Aeroplane' you could have any spare parts you require.  :clap

Unfortunately we are stuck in the UK, but a splendid offer, non the less. I would expect you to be inundated.  ;D

Despite the high cost of living,
                    it still remains popular.

I can only agree with Ken, a superb idea Stuart!!

Sadly, with a wife who suffers from uncontrolled epilepsy, and a severely mentally and physically handicapped daughter (now 25), travelling abroad is out of the question :(

But I do hope a few will take up Stuarts great offer.... I'm just wondering how they will get 16 foot long planks of wood for the paddler project into their hand luggage! :hehe

Regards
Eddy
