Hi PD's,

unfortunately this wasn't the start into the season i wanted, i expected some action and we where on a good way to finish at the podium but sadly we lost :'(.......... OK go forward to the next race next weekend ;). The speed is good :), Robert drove the second fastest lap behind Rosberg with his Williams.

Perhaps this shows where some of M Schumacher's success lay.I've only just watched the tape of the race, and if things continue the way they've started,it's going to be an exciting season.I can only agree with Ross Brawn's comment to Jensen after the race, that it was well deserved. Is this the year JB finally gets a car that  matches his talent?
I wouldn't write the established front runners off just yet though.Hamilton came up from dead last to 4th.Admittedly he was helped by various people parking their cars in the scenery, but it was still a grand drive.
Roll on the next race, for the first time in several years I'm actually looking forward to the next one!

Please don't forget the Brawn team isn't 4 months old this is the former Honda team. After the first races of the last season the Honda team found the car isn't a front runner so they put all their power and money into the development of the 2009 car. Compared to the other teams Ross Brawn and his crew had much more time to design the car and don't forget they have now an Championship winning engine.

Eddy. I too loved F.1. once but what a farce. Watch MOTO GP insted far better racing, even if no 46 dominates. R.G.Y. ex brisca F2 blue top, 1983-1995.

Hi PD's,

this season is a strange one, normally when a lot of rules have changed from one season to the other the gap between the cars is bigger then before. This year it is totally different, i had now a look at the 3rd. practice of the Turkish GP and the gap between the 1th. and the last car is 1.4 seconds over a 5.338 kilometer lap. In the year 2008 it was 2.1 sec , 2007 also 2.1 sec and in 2006 2.7. The reason why i took the 3rd. practice is, in the qualifying the cars have to be filled with the fuel they need for the first part of the race but in this practice session they are all on a low fuel level and in this way better to compare.

F1 has now been thrown into total chaos after a press announcement last night from FOTA (F1 Teams Association) saying they will setup a rival series and withdraw from the current FIA series.

Eight of the top teams, Brawn GP, Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, Toyota, BMW Sauber, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso are all standing firm, refusing to submit an unconditional entry for the 2010 championship following a row over budget capping proposed by Max Mosley. Williams and Force India have already signed up to the new budget capped rules, and were removed from FOTA as a result.

F1 has always been a circus, but now it appears the clowns are running the show :(

Hi Eddy,

i agree with you, especially what you said about the circus ;) in my opinion it would be the best if Max Mosley signed off the FIA and meet Ron Dennis  :whistle to enjoy their retirement :beer.

Hopefully they can sort out all these problems and there will be a real Formula1 :no1b who has the right to say we are the no1. category in motorsport, keep the fingers crossed.

Enjoy your home GP, regards Hans

Fear not,Eddy. The money men of F1 know on which side their bread is buttered. They will not let the whole shebang fall apart.I think the current posturing by both sides is indicative of the financial turmoil the whole world finds itself in at present.I'm sure there will be more negotiations.
I don't know how Mosley managed to survive this far though.Probably being a pal of Bernie's hasn't hurt him any.In any other big company(and lets face it,that's what F1 is now),he would have been shown the door long ago.The original"Teflon Don" ;D
