Blackpool (UK) has had a variety of trams decorated in diverse themes for special events, illuminated with multiple bulbs.
One was set up as 'Blackpool Belle', definitely a paddleboat.
Another was 'Bandwagon', looking like a paddleboat.
Others were boats, but not paddle.

Update Wed. morning (Australia):
Blackpool Belle was based on a Mississippi paddlesteamer.
Bandwagon attempted to be a futuristic tram and if it looks like a boat that's only coincidental.

BB was built in 1959 on the chassis of toastrack tram 163. It
was allocated number 731 in the 1968 numbering system and was
withdrawn in 1978. Other than vintage and works cars it was the last
handbrake-only car in the fleet.
It was exported to USA in 1982 and lost some of its structure
(that which appears to be an upper deck but isn't) and was used on
the Willamette Short Trolley in Portland. Later used for
experiemental purposes, much of the bodywork was scrapped. The
remains may suvive (but my source doubts it).

I was at a cabaret performance last night of 'Clique', written and produced by the students in Sean's tertiary course (first-year), and held in the training restaurant of the university.  It was slick and strong, with some quite varied humour.  I had seen the same group's midyear production, so I knew a lot of the faces.  There is no point recommending the show: there are only three performances (Wed.-Fri.), leaving no time to fly in from UK.
