"Glory Days" Paddle Steamers

I obtained a copy of the above for half price today. it's all about british coastal steamers and has become the first paddle steamer book I own not relating to Aussie steamers!

If anyone has a book on paddlers that they consider a "must have" book, why not tell the rest of us about it?

A quick post with the book name, publisher, author, and ISBN if possible, as well as a short description of what the book covers...

I'd like to build up my library of paddler books, so I'd appreciate any recommendations - I'm sure the other users would appreciate it too!

I have that book too, I'd say it's the best one I own (that's probably because it has many colour photos!)

I picked up a very interesting book last year, "The Hudson's Bay Company's 1835 Steam Ship Beaver by John McKay. Also included was a complete set of drawings. The Beaver was built in England in 1835, for the Hudson Bay Company to explore the Pacific northwest coast of North America. She was a Sidewheeler with a early Boulton and Watt's engine which ran on 2.5 psi steam pressure. She was 100 ft. Long and 20 ft. Breadth.

My library now contains 21 paddler related books of the fiction and nonfiction variety...yet most relate to aussie steamers!
