My current shipbuilding project. Unnhistorical toy. Inspired by the 3D renderings of Will o' the Wisp
Hull lines based on PS "Britanny". I'm just stretched it to the ratio of waterline length to width. In my project this value is 9. For "Will O'the Wisp" this value in a variety of sources 9 or 10.  "Britanny" - 7.7.
Hull - plywood frame covering papier-mache.
Current state - layout and assembly mechanisms.

I have to admit that the Will O'the Wisp is a very attractive looking ship! I hope you'll keep us posted on your progress?

I've never come across papier-mache as a hull material before but it sounds a really great idea..what do you use to seal/waterproof/harden the final hull?

In this hull I use PVA glue for assembly frames and layers of shell. Than finished it with epoxy. About this technology

And also I'm read about using silicate adhesive. (http://translate.google.co.uk/translate/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_silicate)
It does not require finish with epoxy or another waterproof and harden material. This  glue, as I read, using also for hull of submarine models from 60's.

I'm interested in your 'devil' speed/direction controller design as I'm thinking of using electromechanical now in my 'Presto'. I like the mast head lights...I might go for those too.
