While tidying up I came across this photo of my model Waverley and myself. This was taken when the model was just completed in 1973 and I had taken her to sail in the pond in Dunoon. This was an organised outing for the Model Steamer Club.

So I have a photo from 35 years ago. I was 16 at the time!!!!

Can anyone beat this record??

A nice topic Robert..... I can't beat that, but I know a lot of members in my club could - they probably won't be able to prove it though as cameras hadn't been invented when some of them were teenagers! 

Seriously, I hope a few people will post some of their earliest photos....

Hi Robert,
I remember the model steamers in the paddling pool in Dunoon, my mum had to drag me home after a tantrum, as I didnt want to leave!! I think I have somewhere black & white photos of the models, that the steamer club used to sell at these displays. Sadly this area now looks a mess with the pool half filled in, think its going to be a pumping station or something.
