Title: Happy Christmas
Post by: Eddy Matthews on December 21, 2008, 09:21:16 AM
Well, there's only 4 days to go, so can I just take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy Christmas, and all the very best for the new year....

SWMBO has told me all my modelling stuff has to go away until the new year, so I've spent the day clearing everything up, and now I'm sat here twiddling my thumbs wondering what to do with myself until january 1st comes :(

Regards
Eddy

Hi PD's....& thanks Eddy.......when we reflect on this ever closing year of 2008 AD.....what do we see?

a) an increase in membership
b) an increase in diverse paddle matters
c) an increase in steam related matters
d) ZERO altercation between members
e) the continued input from some of our truly talented  :gathering members [it's not name & praise thing ....we all know who they are]

The above :no1b KPI's could not have been achieved without the dedicatated WEB management & moderation....we thank you for this

So my predictions for 2009???????

f) the same as above from a) to e) .....to be continued
g) the return to postings of a certain engine/boiler builder from a funny sounding name location in SC**LAND...I wonder if he has had the time to complete   :hammer Kates new kitchen cupboards...... :hehe :hehe :nahnah

So from all in OZ.... take care & enjoy ....Derek :towel :coffee :beer ...for those who have to   :ranting work through  :sorry

A seasons greetings to all, may all your wishes come true.

But please remember, if you like a drink, get someone else to drive, we don't want to lose anyone over the festive season. :beer :beer

Also, no matter how down you are feeling, there is always someone in a worse position than yourself, so please spare a thought for those unfortunates during our merry festivities. :gift :sobbing

We are having a very quiet Yuletide, so I hope to be out in the shop as much as the stuffed up with turkey will allow. :yeahbaby

May I wish you all a very merry christmas,  To those of us in the Northern hemisphere please spare a thought for our friends in and around Oz who don't have snow to look forward to  :vacation

"All the Best" for 2009 and, in my home vernacular, "Lang may your lums reek"

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all, from sunny New Zealand.
Where you can still have snow for Christmas, if you don't mind climbing the odd hill or two. (was in the snow only last week)
cheers

Likewise, all the best from downunder for Xmas and the New Year. I will happily swan about on the beach for a day or two in preference to wading through snow. I have also had to put the boats in to dry dock while small people visit but they will be out again for the first sailing day of the year on Jan 4th and I am in no doubt that ice on the pond will not be a problem here. Thanks are also repeated to Eddy and the other moderators for what is undeniably the friendliest forum of the several I look in on. Cheers< Ian.
