HMS Pioneer (paint job)

Hi there you intrepid paddlers,
I have arrived at the point where I
have to start thinking about what colour this 1863 river gunboat was
I'm pretty sure that the Nelson black and buff stripes was out of
use by 1863, but I don't think the colour was battleship grey
either, Idea's anyone? while I'm on the subject of HMS Pioneer she
was reported to carry 12pdr brass guns in the cupolas does anyone
have any "images" (Photo's drawings) of a Naval 12pdr gun of that
period (1863)? Thanks for your help in advance.
