Hi there Brit Paddlers:

I am leaving for the UK on Wednesday Oct 10 and will be in the South
of England for about two weeks. If there's anyone in the home
counties Sussex, Surrey and Kent give me a holler before Wednesday.
There's a pretty good model boat pond in Hove, but something tells me
its salt water.

If any of you know any model boat shows or "must see" nautical
attractions do let me know. Ady..please note.. I plan to go and pay
my respects to "Medway Queen" and take a first hand look at her if I
can. I don't know where "Waverley" will be but I think she's probably
pretty far North. I'll find out.

I'm also visiting a delightful gent in Worthing who knows all about PS
"Worthing Belle" and I'm hoping I can leave the UK with sufficient
reference to eventually build a 1:48 model.

Why not have a look at the John H Amos while your in the UK. I think she is
on the Medway near Chatham, and the Kingswear Castle runs out of Chatham.

I think Waverley is on the Thames, not ceratin though. She has a website -

Thank you, Chris...excellent ideas! My dad is a spry 85 year old but
recently macular degeneration ofeyes forced him to give up his drivers
licence. Consequently I want to drive him around so he doesnt feel so
immobilized and part of the idea is to take him on day trips with
something to see, much like he used to take me when I was a kid....oh
how the circle of life turns. He's love to see some paddlers I'm
sure.

Thanks again

PJ
