Paddle Wheel Kit instructions
« on: January 31, 2013, 02:08:10 AM »
I purchased an etched paddle wheel kit from Clyde Model Boats at the last Blackpool Show. This did not have any instructions but I understood these would be sent to me.  I never received these and have been unable to contact the company. Does anyone have a set of these they would be willing to copy for me. Any reasonable expenses happily reimbursed.

Hi,
My mistake,  it would be fair to say we (I) didn't guage the potential interest highly enough prior to the Blackpool show and have been playing catch up ever since the show.
Won't happen again, or at least i will do my very best to avoid it!

Will get stuff to you in the post & copy on email to you first thing when i go into the workshop in the morning.
My sincere apologies!
Regards,
Kim

Hi PD's & hullo Kim

I have a 140 diameter x 60 wide set of plastic wheels purchased as 1: 24 scale which are OK for the cost... :whistle ...but still not right :nono

I also have a 140 diameter x 60 wide set of brass wheels purchased as 1: 24 scale from a UK manufacturer which could only be described as BL##DY JUNK  :ranting

@ 1: 24 scale......the latter were supplied with M3 bolts & nuts which equate to 75 mm [shaft] diameter bolts which are grossly  :41 over scale

I have seen an image of your etched paddlewheels  & would be interested in a quotation for a 1:24 scale ....140 diameter x 60 wide set of your etched non feathering brass wheels ....hub diameters & etc to be resolved later

Additional images greatly appreciated.............. :beer ......Derek

GOOD INTENTIONS NEVER ENOUGH....

Richard, My sincere apologies .. this is my first day back since my last post .. computer died ,,,
Anyway i will be back on Tuesday after a short break and will get everything out to you as promised if delayed.

Life is never easy lol

Derek...

I'm interested in your enquiry but i am cautious to take on more bespoke work as it is demanding of my time... that said i have just taken delivery of a small 7 axes machine and would look forward to putting it through it's paces.
If you have a drawing / dimentioned sketch send it through to me and we can chat.
Regards,
Kim
