Hi,
The name is Randy Largent and I live inland in Michigan. I have just
started to look for info on the sidewheeler U.S.S. Michigan of which I
MAY, someday, try to build a model of. I am good at starting projects
and never finishing them so no promises. In the meantime I have enjoyed
reading the posts at this site.

Hi Randy, good to have you here...and do please keep us up to date on
your "USS Michigan" research..there's always someone else out there
who's contemplating the same project and will want to share
information.

Then consider making your model an R/C one you can actually operate on
the water...this will give you a reason to finish her so you can show
her off proudly on the pond !

Glad you have done..Yes..they make fascinating reading. Over the
short time we've been operating I have personally learned so much
about paddle wheelers and am honored to be in the company of a group
of such fine modelers, authors and researchers from all around the
world all sharing information to help keep the wonderful heritage of
paddlewheelers alive.

Stay in touch

PJ
