obtaining gear

I am looking for a middle of the road, 4to6 channel radio combo,can anyone tell me
which to go for and which to steer clear off,
also looking to source a smoke/steam module, to put in a small"36", sten drive job.
all answers in a plain brown onvelope please!!!!!

The Radio which seems most popular at the moment as the Planet 5.  This is a five channel radio running on 2.4gHz which does not need crystals. These are currently around £49 complete with receiver, if you can get any as they are in demand.  ;)

With regards to the smoke machine, may I recommend the water based version from Marks Model Bits. I use one in my Waverley and it's quite effective. I believe they are around the £50 mark.

I don't think they have online ordering though, so you will probably have to give them a ring....
