Paper and plastic paddlewheelers

A plastic model of unknown scale of the Harriet Lane is periodically
available.

For paper models, look at the website: www.scheuer-struver.de. Select the
English version, then click on the shop icon. then at the left click on
'shipping and navy,' 'civil and 'paper.' Most paper ship models are in
1:100, 1:250 or 1:400 scales. All that I know of are European prototypes
except for the GPM model of the Robert E. Lee.

I am not aware of any commercial models of Great Lakes paddlers. All were
side-wheelers with very few exceptions. I have not seen any books devoted
solely to Great Lakes side-wheeler, which is a shame, as they lasted into
the 1905's, and some were (I believe) the largest paddle steamers ever
built.
