Riverside Museum / Glasgow Transport Museum
« on: May 23, 2011, 01:07:08 AM »
Hi All,
Recently, I have been doing some work with one of the New museum's model makers and he tells me the new Clyde room is very impressive. I didn't ask for any more info as i don't want to raise my own expectations.

Anyway, the museum has anounced the offical opening date as 21st of June 2011. I will be there and it would be nice to see any of our memebrs there too.

Regards,
Kim

This is very encouraging news as all indications seemed to be that a Clyde Room would be a thing of the past. Assure me however that reports of a 'conveyor belt' of models is a scare story.

Regards

Andy

Lets hope it's similar (but bigger!) than the old Clyde Room in the Transport Museum - That was always one of my favourite places to visit when in Glasgow!

Hi Eddy,
You know if you ever fancy coming up this way there is a place for you to stay.
You'd make far better company at the museum than my wife as she just doesn't get models .... to be fair to her the house is beginning to look more like the Clyde room than a living room  :hehe
Regards,
Kim

I appreciate that Kim, but now that I have my handicapped daughter to look after, it will be difficult to get away - Unless she's in respite care, or she comes with me!
