For everyone who reads this section, I want you to know what a great contribution Alistair has made to the entire subject of paddle wheelers through the many excellent books he has written.  He is an immensely knowledable and respected member of our Paddleducks group who is far too modest to mention the books he has written, so I'm going to do it here.

Here are some Deayton titles.

STEAM SHIPS OF EUROPE: An Illustrated Guide To Veteran Passenger Vessels - 1978.

CALEDONIAN STEAM PACKET COMPANY LTD - 2002

GLASGOW AND SOUTH WESTERN AND OTHER STEAMERS - 2002

MACBRAYNE STEAMERS - 2001

ORKNEY & SHETLAND STEAMERS - 2002

SCOTTISH LOCH AND CANAL STEAMERS - 2004

STEAMERS OF THE CLYDE: The White Funnel Fleet - 2003

STEAMERS OF THE CLYDE NB & LNER - 2000

Apologies if I have missed any.  Alistair please update if necessary.

Wow....I'm going to write a book with some help from another member of paddle ducks. it's going to be like a streetguide to finding paddle steamers in Australia because I spent hours going in the wrong direction looking for them on my last holiday!
