The form of construction looks very similar to my ACS built steam throttle/regulator...please tell more about the function......... ....Derek

...the photo distorts sizing.......the ACS unit is 16 mm cube only with connections for 1/8"od copper tubing

Again....... ....just whenever let us know the basis or decision to maintain the high exhaust temperature or ...... ......Derek

Derek, The gas control unit was made by "Cheddar" (no longer in existence), but I think Stuart's now market this. The thought behind lagging the separator ( not important as a condenser) was to increase the steam coming out the funnel. R.G.Y.

Getting enough steam out of the funnel on a warm day is a problem. I can't do much about it with Glen Usk as she sails on a scale draft (1.5 inches). So weight is marginal. But I have increased the depth of hull on the Duke of Devonshire, so will experiment when finished and sailing properly. THOUGHTS, but the bottom of the separator into the top of the boiler casing, ( water tube boiler so no oil in boiler water). Could this vaporise the oil as an electrical smoke generator? It would reheat the any water into steam. Or use the boiler feed pump to spray water on to the water tubes inside the boiler? What do you think Derek? Geoff a.k.a.R.G.Y.
