Rich...you are part of a growing fraternity seeking to power its ships
with actual LIVE steam engines...it's a humbling experience for those
of us still struggling around with electric motors and batteries!!!
But, the good news is..there's no shortage of expertise in Paddleucks
as you will soon see.
IN FACT I'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANY MEMBERS EXPERIENCED IN THE
DISCIPLINE OF MODEL STEAM ENGINES TO COME FORWARD AND BE RECOGNIZED AS
A RESOURCE FOR THE FUTURE. Whilst I love steam engines (grew up with
them!!) I know very little about building them.
What could be as elegant as a STEAM POWERED Model Paddledoat ?
Doug in South Africa emailed me today to say he's now considering
building his "Persia" as a "live steamer" instead of a static model.
Rich..I'm off to look at Steamboats.com..and "borrow" their picture of
"W.H.B." for our files.
By the way, I have an acquaintance up here in Victoria who is the
president of the NorthWest Steam Society and he has a lovely STEAM
boat sitting on a trailer in his driveway. The Society can be found
at
