Connaught lifeboats?
« on: August 31, 2009, 07:22:20 PM »
Hi PDs - some help please!

I am getting the bits and pieces and materials together for the Connaught build. She carries 6 lifeboats (2 double ended and four transom clinker built boats).

Does anyone know of a source (or perhaps HAVE!) of drawings for this type of boat (mid 19th century up to early 20th)?

I usually use the Quaycraft boats - but they are HEAVY and 6 of them suspended over the deck of a long, thin and tender model terrifies me! So I am going to have to make them.

Any help VERY gratefully recieved
