New Model Shipways Kit, Stenwheeler "Chaperon"
« on: September 14, 2008, 09:29:19 AM »
I work at a hobby shop and imagine my delight when I saw a new kit from Model Shipways for  a sternwheeler. the steam boat is the Chaperon in 1/4" scale, finshed length is 34-1/2", beam 7-1/2" and about 12" tall. The kit is number is MS 2190. Inside the box most of the wood is laser cut and stripwood. The hull is plank on frame and the railings are etched brass. Over all it looks pretty good, it is going on my got to have list. The only thing that looked a little light in quality was the wheels for the paddle wheel.

Eddy,

Yes they are part of Model Expo ( http://www.modelexpo-online.com/ ), you will see there logo on the right. At this point you will have to use their search function, just type in "Chaperon" and it's web page will come up.
