DVD
« on: July 15, 2008, 06:57:26 AM »
Andreas Heene (Andy) has been kind enough to send me a superb DVD which I will be posting onto the website in the next week or so.... I cannot possibly include everything he has sent as it would take up too much space, but a taster of it's contents follows:

Pictures of Andy's models of the PD Diessen, Schondorf screw steamer, and the Paddletug Leviathan....

Some photos and videos of the PS Hohentwiel running on Lake Constance - Superb footage of her magnificent engines in action!

Dampferparade - Photos and videos from the 80th anniversary of the PS Stadt Luzern, with all five steamers under steam on Lake Lucerne.

Finally, a HUGE video showing the last voyage of the Diessen in 1975 on the Amersee - Followed by some footage of Andy's model of the ship taken in 1978.

It will take me a while to sort through it all and reduce the size of some of the photos etc, so I hope to get it online in the next couple of weeks - I think it's well worth waiting for!!

My sincere thanks to Andy for taking the time to send it to me

Regards
Eddy

Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

Perhaps you could copy the DVD and sell them to members. I, for one would like a copy.

Films of Paddlers seem  thin on the ground, so this would be worth having.

Good idea...but breach of copyright might occur if anyone copies the DVD and sells them.

Hi Kenny,

no, I cannot sell the files, because they all are uncutted. But I could burn the image new, if one of you was able to cut the videos and send me back the result. But then it was better and more efficient, to include them to the PD website, I think that every person can make a download. Selling was too much work for me. I try to get my money with mywork as architect of industrial/pharmaceutical buildings.

Your reply is much appreciated, Andy. I can see the problems. We'll wait with anticipation for Eddy's postings.

Cheers

I've started to upload the stuff Andy sent - So far just one photo gallery of his superb model of the paddler Diessen. Just take a look at the amount of detail in this model, absolutely unbelievable!!

You can find the photos at: http://www.paddleducks.co.uk/mkportal/modules/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=53

Be aware that there are FIVE pages in this gallery, so make sure you browse them all, it's well worth it!

LOTS more stuff still to come over the next few days....

Regards

Added some images from the 2008 Dampferparade, taken by Andy in the spring at Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. The parade celebrated the 80th anniversary of the PS Stadt Luzern, 5 paddlers all steaming in convoy - Magnificent!

P.S. These images make wonderful desktop backgrounds for Windows :)
