PS Compton Castle
« on: June 29, 2008, 03:44:31 AM »
I purchased this on Ebay some time ago and up til now haven't had chance to do anything with it . .

It requires some work in its 'working parts' and needs some finishing off - railings etc. Hopefully will have it sorted in a couple of weeks all being well. Next project will be MV Balmoral . . . .

Its around 1/36, quite a nice size. Its actually been built as Totnes Castle - her drawings came with it. I've a soft spot for the Compton so it'll be completed as her.

Evening gents,

I have decided not to continue restoring/completing this model but to look at something larger and 'more seaworthy'. I haven't had the time to devote to the model so she is as in these pictures.  I do find it hard finishing off someone elses part buiuld too. I can sell with a number of packs of 2 rail Billings stantions that will work well with her.

I will hasten to add once complete with railings, masts and some passengers she will probably be a bit top heavy so perhaps not the best working model - none the less I will leave the motor, speed controller and servo in her for the new owner . . . .

I'd be interested to hear from anyone interested . . .

Cheers
Chris

How much are you looking for? I've wanted a model of Kingwear Castle for ages and this looks good.

£100 - if you wanted the stantions to complete I could sell these to you at cost.

Cheers
