Many thanks for the replies, I have just located a second-hand copy from Gaston Renard and it is on its way to me.

Cheers,

There is a new /refurbished Paddle boat on Lake Wendouree I've seen it on the water and in the local paper The Courier seeking more Captains as the ones in the picture were getting on like me and I assume were hoping to operate on 2 or 3hr shifts The major use of the lake is rowing on the Olympic length course it is mowed frequently leaving massive carpet of cut weed preventing sailing propeller models.
I went to Paddle boats.
I seem to the only model boat/ship builder in Ballarat I've been searching every avenue for 4yrs

The lake is presumably drought proof now as it's now supplied with storm water and in dry times a bore has been will be used.

At the time of ensuring the never went dry they installed an overflow in case of flooding.
Going past the lake recently after a week of rain I noticed the shore to boat house walkways and launching ramps are all under water oooop's.

Ummm over flow has proved to be too high  as Pic 3 in the sequence  shows water lapping the cycle/walking path with the overflow still 250mm to 300mm above the water. We've had the most spring rain in over 100 years so far.
