Manometers for boilers?

Hello!
Do you know a good source for small and reliable manometers for boilers? Who makes them?

In the UK a manometer is a "U" tube filled with mercury, water, kerosine, etc. so I assume you are looking for pressure gauges. I do not know who makes them but the are available from suppliers such as Reeves, Steamfittings, Pollymodels to name but a few. They are available in different sizes and pressure ranges but I have seen only imperial pressure units (lbf/in2). Hope this is of use.

Thanks, I didn't know that. Yes, I mean a gauge for pressure.
And I'd like it with metric connections, if possible.

To get metric fittings as standard, you would almost certainly have to buy your steam fittings from a mainland European manufacturer, France or Germany being the best bet. The one Derek suggests being one of them.

In the UK they are standardised on Imperial Model Engineering threads. But if you ask nicely, and they are a manufacturer, instead of a supplier, they might just make you some in metric. But expect to pay a premium price.

Hi PD's ....one of the crazy outcomes of year 1884 was that

1) Great Britan would produce thread forms called British Association...however based on metric pitch dimensions & obscuir'e diameters
2) Continent Europe would produce thread forms based upon whole numbers....[diametre x pitch]

Thank goodness we in OZ were not shipped out ....British tappings ......+ Metric bolts  ....because that is what we got  & then ...just like trying to fit an Irish square peg in an English round hole..........  Derek

I believe I'm the one who showed you the Niggel website  I already have the manometer that he sells, but I am looking for a smaller one.

And, by the way, who makes these manometers? Niggel makes very nice steam fittings, but the manometers are made by someone else, I believe.

Hi,
For the smallest gauges I have found so far try

They have 5 sizes from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 2" (25.4mm) dia.
They are in Derby, UK.
Some of the sites listed in Paddleducks links have sizes down to 3/4" (19mm) dia.
