Scale figures
« on: June 13, 2008, 10:12:11 PM »
I stumbled across the following website whilst searching for suitable figures for my model of the Marchioness of Lorne, and thought others may be interested in it. They keep a vast range of figures, both military, railway, and civilian - They certainly aren't the cheapest, but when you just have to have those finishing touches, money doesn't really matter ;)

Not the friendliest of websites to use, but it's worth spending a bit of time searching it....

You won't need many figures, Eddy,
as the "LORNE" never was a busy boat on the Holy Loch run!
So much for only managing 12 knots in service!

I've found another website with loads of figures, vehicles, general accessories etc in a vast range of scales - Again, well worth a look if your finding it hard to locate that elusive part!

I am looking to figures, too. For my paddlesteamer model DIESSEN I´ve got some figures made of soft plastic with real clothings in 1/18 or 1/20, coming from LGB model railways. But these are not available today. Does somebody know similar figures?

Yup! Robbe do a range of 1:20 scale clothed figures - Westbourne Models in the UK stock them, but I'm sure there will be other suppliers.... http://www.westbourne-models.com/erol.html#4842X0

I think BACHMANN still do a range of prepainted large figures for their garden railway sized models . they are about1/22 scale. also if you search 16mm garden rail sites there are a lot of small manufacturers of figures at a scale of about 1/18th available in the UK. Regards, walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.
