Medway Queen's future
« on: April 23, 2008, 12:51:17 AM »
Hello fellow PD’s, Eddy has kindly made a direct line to browse the ‘Medway Queen’ website and all that is going on to raise much needed funds. (Look on tool bar to your left ‘Medway Queen’) There are many ways that one can contribute if they so wish to restore the memory of this famous ‘Dunkirk Veteran’.
You may ask what is so different with this paddler, than other paddlers in the UK, other than earning the name ‘Heroine of Dunkirk’. She also represents the only remaining estuary pleasure paddle steamer that survived into post war history in the UK.
We have one of our members doing a sponsored cycle run to help to raise funds one of the many ways to help. We have ‘Direct Debit’ set up, even now you can ‘buy a Hull Plate’ still, take your choice.
The lottery is never, ever going to provide enough funds to complete this project, at the end of the day it is down the good old general public to plug the gap, please search you hearts, if you believe in the survival of this historic vessel.
Many Thanks. Len Knight webmaster MQPS.  :)

Hello Bob,
Thank for your donation, and wishes, we can only but hope that the status of this 'Historic Ship' will eventually be recognised. It beggar's belief, at times why we struggle, knowing the history of this paddler.where lesser vessels seem to take the running. Perhaps Prince Charles, should have been 'Bunny Shooting' near our site, the outcome may have been diffrent!
Regards Len Knight.
