I've been a member of paddleducks for over a year now but never written in till now.
Born on the shores of the Clyde. I have had a lifelong interest in all the steamers, and altho' I live south of the border, I return to sail in that beautiful area as often as I can.
Must be one of the few people whose models have actually sailed on the same waters as their real counterpart.
I have written a few articles and plans of the steamers in both "Model Boats" and "Marine Modeller"

It's really good to see your first post Sandy - I've long been an admirer of your work, and I hope you'll take an active part in Paddleducks from now on. We need people like you to help us mere mortals in our feeble attempts!

I've often visited Tynemouth MBC and seen your models sailing, though I've never had the chance to chat with you :( I chat with Joe Hardy every week, so I do keep up to date on whats happening in Tynemouth.

So a very warm welcome to Paddleducks, it's great to see you with us.

Best wishes

Another welcome from me Sandy.  You may like to know that your "DUCHESS OF HAMILTON" is still in occasional use at Darlington & District MBC though not with your original druve system and currently laid up.
Cheers from Bob Golder
