HELP REQUESTED FROM OUR AUSTRALIAN FREINDS.
« on: December 18, 2006, 08:07:40 PM »
Good day, Especialy to 0ur Antipodean members! Quite some time ago one of you posted a photo of a model of an Australian sternwheeler. I cant remember its name and a search of the site has not found it for me. It was quite an atractive model with plenty of scope and at the time I did a search and could only find one photo of her after she had sunk, with only a small part of the superstructure showing. Is it possible for you to post more photos of the  model and sources of photographs, drawings and dimensions of the full size ship?, plus a complete history. ( I know she was refloated after her sinking, as I think she caught fire during a rebuild). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards to all and DRINK REAL ALE.  Regards, walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

Goodness Walter - in OZ all of the games shows have finished @ this time of year

1) SWPS Alfred [circa 1874] sank in 1996
2) SWPS Corowa [circa1899] sank in 1945

I have only reviewed from @ A to C.... is there anything more specific we could look at?  :!:

Oh & BTW..... "Real Ale" is a trademark in OZ..... of a particually unpleasant brew.... :offtopic .... so if you can think of any closer reference to this 'sunken...SWPS of OZ heritage" ....just call :beer - & when I sober up  :angel ..... I will look........regards Derek

The original messages string died at an early age!. Can we resurect it please?. I need to know more about the model, fate of the full size ship, dimensions, picture sources, plans etc. PLEAASE can I hve some positive feedback on this one????. Living in hope, regards to you all, Walter. (Oh, by the way Derek, REAL ALE is the British generic name for properly brewed beer with no additives and lots of flavour brewed by small breweries. I reckon your real ale is just to fool us Pommie visitors that you brew real beer in "straylia.!  walter.
