General banter...
« on: October 17, 2006, 03:44:47 AM »
Hi guys,

I've noticed recently that a few topics are going way off track and have become more like general chat and banter....

I certainly don't have a problem with friendly banter, exactly the opposite in fact, it makes for a good hearted forum.... But can I ask that you try to keep the main areas of the forum free from chit-chat, and post anything that isn't directly related to the topic in the Chat & Off Topic area?

That helps people at a later date to find things quickly and easily, otherwise the content becomes dilluted and it doesn't help anyone in the long term.

I hope you'll all take my comments on-board and understand the reason for them....

I think its just you Derek!!. Too many of those little men confuse checkers as they think its some form of heiroglyphics or a quaint Oriental language and they just give up !!. Anyway, my contacts with language experts (before I retired) meant that in the main they were very dry teetotal people who are upset by the sight of drink!! ( I cant read them either)! Perhaps your spelling checker is some dried up old spinster who doesny like drink and has no sense of humour.  All the best, walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.
