Eddy & crew,
I have just uploaded 5 photos of my Capt. Sturt, progress has slowed partly due to work and time and partly due to 3 aircraft carriers and a submarine that need completion. I have used the drawing that Towboat Joe graciously supplied me and aqlso some photos that I have gleaned from varios sources. Derek W if you read this I have a copy of "Ships of the Inland Rivers" on order from the Port of Echuca. It is being reprinted.. Back to the Sturt, it is only a shell at present as the hull has to have a final shaping and glassing then motor installationthen smoke unit but this will use a fog solution of gycol and water instead of  the usual smoke fluid. As the photos show the sound system is built and tested.

I've just been looking at the photos you uploaded Peter - The Capt Sturt is really starting to look the part!

What size is the model, beam and length? It looks fairly similar to in size to my model of the Suter, but photos can be deceiving sometimes!

Please keep us updated on your progress....

Peter - our WEB master & moderator Eddie made note of copy right  a few posts ago which we must naturally accept, however you have acknowledged that you have ordered a reprint of ISBN 0947284346 which make take years

If there is any specific question about a page or a photocopy which I could never provide, best send the question directly to me off line - Derek

Derek,
The last word from the Port of Echuca was that the reprint will be this year as the author is laid up in hospital and they are waiting on his release.

Peter,

try this site.......
http://www.booksandcollectibles.com.au/

According to their website they have a couple of editions of the book.  Failing that I will be going to the Maritime museum at Port Adelaide in the next 10 or so days.  That is where I purchased mine and can ask if they still have any stock!
