Hull design software

Greetings,

Is there some not too expensive software suitable for model paddler hull design capable of printing bulkheads (frames/shadows whatever the correct terminology is)?

Hi,
I have used a program called Hulls which is free at www.carlsondesign.com. It enables a hull with three stations and nine chines to be designed. It is a bit limiting but free! Or at least it was when I downloaded it. I think proper cad programs for boats tend to be a bit expensive.

Hi all,
I downloaded one called "hullform 95", available at Hullform.com use the student version its free. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet (boiler work more pressing), but it looks like it has possibilities.

I haven't tried Hulls (I'm not interested in a hard chine hull). The freeware version of Hullform I have tried. There are a few limitations (compared to the more expensive versions), among them that I've been unable to coax any useful printed output from it.

Hello Broder Incertus,
With regard to the Hulls program, nine chines is practically round bilge anyway. It was just a thought.
