Remote Control Car find better life...as a paddler!

We're currently having a garage saleand as we were sorting through the junk I found an old remote control car.

After finding suitable screwdrivers I removed the cars outer shell and took a look at the pearl inside.

It operated exactly as I hoped...the front wheels doing all the work. Spinning forward, backward and best of all DUAL WHEEL! so now I'm going to make a paddler for it.

I might try the hull I have which I was going to use for the PS Bryalah project. All I'd have to do is fix up the hull and then reconfigure the remote control stuff...it's too long currently but easily fixed.

So thats the plan...you can have a photo of the car if you want...but after the garage sale...gosh the garage sale is annoying.

Oh another brief update on a model:
While up in Echuca my sister got a little Captain soft toy, so I'm building her a little wooden paddler. The coasters I bought for the AA have been drawn on (to make them look like wheels) and they will be screwed on so that they rotate when it is pushed along the ground. Photos when I take em!

R/C toys of the skid-steer type are good for hacking propulsion and control for little toy side-wheelers.
